Amerix Appoints Senior Mining Executive to the Board of Directors
Toronto, Ontario – December 19, 2007 – Amerix Precious Metals Corporation is pleased to announce that
Luciano Borges has agreed to join the company’s board of directors. Mr. Borges graduated in Geology
with post-graduation in Economic Geology at the University of Brasília – UnB. Subsequently he has
enjoyed an outstanding career record in the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy where he held many
senior executive positions including: General-Coordinator of the National Department of Minerals
Production; General-Director of the National Department of Mines and Metallurgy; President of the non-
Executive Administration Board of the Brazilian Geological Survey and National Secretary of Mines and
Metallurgy. He is a founding member of the MERCOSUR Mining Subgroup and CAMMA – Conference
of Mining Ministries of the Americas. He has also served on the non-executive board of Companhia Vale
do Rio Doce (CVRD), among others.
With an extensive political and business network in Brazil and abroad, Mr. Borges is currently focused on
projects and business initiatives related to natural resources and regional development in Brazil and Latin
America.

With the addition of Mr. Borges, the new board of directors of Amerix Precious Metals Corporation is
now comprised of four directors, including Mr. Jeffrey Reeder, who is also the President and Chief
Executive Officer, Mr. Greg Liddy and Mr. William Whitehead.
