Steve Brunelle - President & CEO, Director
- Mr. Brunelle is a Canadian geologist with over 30 years of experience in mineral exploration throughout the Americas
- Has been an officer and director of several resource companies, most recently Stingray Copper Inc., and prior to that, Corner Bay Silver Inc. At Stingray Copper, the bulk Mexican minable oxide copper deposit, El Pilar, was taken to feasibility in 2009 and, thereafter, Stingray was merged with Mercator Minerals Ltd. At Corner Bay Silver, the bulk minable silver deposit, Alamo Dorado, was taken to feasibility and the company was acquired by Pan American Silver Corp.
Jeffrey Reeder - Executive Chairman and Director
- Mr. Reeder has been involved in the mineral industry over the past 22 years and has successfully identified, financed and developed a number of mining projects
- Previous experience includes identifying the Aguila Copper Project currently being explored by Duran Ventures Inc. and is responsible for targeting and negotiating the acquisition of AM Gold’s Pinaya Copper-Gold project in Peru
- Professional Geologist, experienced in exploration methods and techniques in tropical environments similar to Amerix’s properties
Dan Hamilton - Chief Financial Officer
- Mr. Hamilton brings over 25 years of experience in senior accounting and financial roles
- Currently the CFO of Duran Ventures Inc. Previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Crystallex International
- Prior experience also includes Vice President, Controller for Amec Americas (a multi-national engineering and project management services firm) and Group Controller, Zinc at Noranda (now Xstrata)
Ryan Grywul – Vice President Corporate Development
- Mr. Grywul is an exploration geologist, graduating in 2001 from the University of Alberta where he was awarded the Shell Canada scholarship and the Thomas Payne Memorial Prize in Economic Geology.
- Professional Geologist with 10 years experience in mineral exploration, which includes managing projects ranging from grass roots to advanced exploration. He also has experience in generating projects in Canada and internationally.
- Has previous experience working with public and private companies, including Taseko Mines, AM Gold, Duran Ventures, and Commerce Resources.
Luciano Borges - Director and General Manager Brazilian Operations
- Mr. Borges has over 20 years with the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy where he held many executive and senior management positions such as General-Coordinator of the National Department of Minerals Production, and General-Director of the National Department of Mines and Metallurgy
- Previous experience includes President of the non-Executive Administration Board of the Brazilian Geological Survey and National Secretary of Mines and Metallurgy and member of the non-executive board of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (”Vale”)
- Founding member of the MERCOSUR Mining Subgroup and CAMMA – Conference of Mining Ministries of the Americas
Dan Noone - Independent Director
- Mr. Noone is a professional geologist with extensive experience in mineral exploration in South America
- Currently the Vice President of Exploration for Guyana Goldfields
- Was the President and CEO of Absolut Resources Corp until its amalgamation with Aquiline Resources in April 2008 and became the Vice President of the Peruvian Operations. Pan American Silver acquired Aquiline Resources for $626 million in late 2009
William Whitehead - Independent Director
- Mr. Whitehead is a successful businessman who also serves as a director of GLR Resources (an exploration stage company), a position he has now held for over 30 years
Robert Crombie - Independent Director
- Mr. Crombie has over 18 years of mining-related financial experience and is currently President of Crystallex International Corporation
- Has held the positions of Vice President of Dresdner bank and the Chase Manhattan Bank
- He has a Master of Science degree in Mineral Economics from Penn State University and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen's University
